Water Sewers
Over the past 20
years plumbers have installed polybutylene pipe, which was once
considered cost-effective and seemed to be very durable. As time
passed, Chlorine (Cl) was added to our domestic water supply and in
turn broke this material down.
Water supply
systems build up pressure with higher psi during the times that usage
is low (e.g., at night). As the psi rises at night or during times of
low usage, the material eventually can not withand the pressure due
to the compound being broken down by the Chroline, and it causes
small holes.
